CREATION OF CATTLE THEFT PREVENTION & DETECTION SQUAD (CTPDS)

1. In view  of increasing trend of cattle theft, Mandi Police has constituted  a special team under the close supervision of Dy.S.P. (Hqrs.) Mandi  in this district for prevention & detection of cattle theft. All cattle theft cases registered in this district will be investigated by this team on priority basis. During the movement of shepherd, details of cattle and accompanying party shall be obtained from them at all Naka barriers/Police Stations/Police Posts falling en-route the movement of the cattle in the Police Station areas. Name & address of shepherds, type of cattle & their number, next place of stay/dera of the shepherds etc shall will also be collected and lodged in the daily diaries in respective police station. The concerned police stations/police posts frequently patrol such place of night halt of the shepherd. The exercise for prevention and detection of the cattle theft/livestock cases should be strictly undertaken at police station level as well as district headquarters level under the close monitoring by Supervisory Officer concerned.

2. Case FIR No. 337/14 dated 30/10/14  U/S 324 IPC has been registered  in P.S. Balh on the  complaint of  Sh. Pawan Kumar S/O  Late Sh. Aatma Ram  R/O  Majhyali P.O. Riyur Tehsil Balh Distt. Mandi (HP)  that  on  30/10/14  at about 1:30  PM  Smt.  Arti  Devi W/O Sh. Tilak Raj  resident of same locality  beat  him up.  HC  Malkiyat Singh I.O. of PP Rewalsar is investigating  the case.

CASE OF   OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND INTIMIDATION

3. Case FIR No. 268/14 dated 31/10/14 U/S 341, 323, 504 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar  on the complaint of  Smt. Indira Devi W/O Late. Sh. Shamsher Singh  R/O  Nalag Tehsil  Sundernagar Distt. Mandi (HP)  that on 30/10/14  she was going  to  her  fields, in the mean time  Mohar Singh resident  of  the same locality  obstructed  her way and beat her up and she sustained injuries.  ASI    Rajender   Thakur I/C of PP  Dehar  is investigating the case.

CASE OF   OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND INTIMIDATION

4. Case FIR No. 382/14 dated 31/10/14 U/S 341, 323, 504, 34 IPC has been registered in P.S.  Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh.  Parkash  Chand  S/O Sh.  Madho Ram  R/O  Kotlu P.O. Gopalpur Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi (HP)  that on  29/10/14  his wife Indira   Devi came alongwith  Karan Singh  S/O Sh.  Roop Lal  and obstructed his way and beat him  up and he sustained injuries.  ASI Suresh Kumar I.O. of P.S. Sarkaghat is investigating the case.

CHALLAN

5. 149 Challan were issued under  M.V. Act  and fine of Rs.21,800/-  was recovered  and 3  challans were issued under  COTPA  and  fine of Rs. 300/- was recovered during  last 24 hours.
