PRESS NOTE ON 16/10/2016

           In view of forthcoming visit of the Hon'ble  Prime Minister of India on 18/10/2106 at Mandi, the traffic plan will be as below:    

 

Traffic Plan for Mandi City area during VVIP Visit

1.     All Rally vehicles coming from Sundernagar side will drop the visitors after crossing pullgharat bridge, at Sabji Mandi road. One way traffic route shall be followed from Sabji Mandi-Chandyal Chowk to Chakkar. These vehicles will be parked on four lane road at Nagchala after the rally, these vehicles will come to pullgharat to board the visitors.    

2.       All vehicles coming from Kullu side to attend the rally of the Hon'ble Prime Minister will be stopped at Bhiuli bridge and after alighting vehicles/busses will be parked at Kawari-Pandoh side of the N.H.154 (Mandi to Kullu road).  

3.     All rally vehicles coming from Jogindernagar side will be stopped at Victoria bridge and visitors will be dropped at Victoria bridge. Thereafter all rally vehicles will be diverted on Khaliyar Jogindernagar road and light vehicles will be parked on Kammand road.  

4.      Vehicles coming from Dharampur, Kotli,  Rewalsar side will be allowed upto Talyahar bypass and will be allowed upto Pulgharat. Light vehicles will be not allowed ahead office of the Chief Engineer HPPWD Jail Road Mandi. They will be parked on the open space beyond HP PWD Circle office.

5.     Gate No. 1 is entry point for VIPs, Gate No-2 for Media, Gate No. 3 for women and Gate Nos. 4, 5,6,7 & 8 are allowed for entry to the general public to rally of ground Paddal Mandi.   

6.     No parking is allowed in City Areas. If vehicles are found parked idle in City Area Mandi, such vehicles will be removed by using crane. 

7.     Mandi Police request to the public coming for rally  to be secure their place well before the rally.

          Appeal:-

                   Mandi Police request to the general public to not to  bring  bags,   water bottles, flammable items, coins etc. with them while coming to the public rally of the hon'ble Prime Minister of India on 18/10/2016 at Paddal.  Women are also requested kindly not to bring with them big size purses to the public rally. These items will not be allowed inside and police will not be able to provide secure custody these items/belongings
